Dr. Hammond has more than 30 years of industry experience as a scientist, development engineer, corporate executive, consultant and expert witness in the field of semiconductor manufacturing equipment and fabrication processes.

His expertise includes, Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD), Poly and Epi Silicon, Plasma Etch or Dry Etch, Exhaust Gas Treatment, and Materials Science. He has been recognized as a major contributor to the semiconductor industry.

Dr. Hammond's expertise extends beyond the purely technical to include executive marketing and strategic planning. His wide range of experience includes work for the aerospace industry in addition to the semiconductor industry.
Semiconductor Equipment
Dr. Hammand is a highly regarded marketing expert in semiconductor equipment. He led technical marketing for what is now the largest equipment supplier in the industry.
Patents
Dr. Hammond holds five U.S. Patents and is widely published in the field of semiconductor process and equipment. His awards include: "SEMI Award" 1994 for outstanding contribution to SEMI industry and the "Walter C. Benzing" Award 1990 for most significant contribution to SEMI Association.
Dr. Hammond has testified in jury, non-jury, and arbitration litigation and pre-litigation negotiations.
Dr. Hammond earned his Ph.D. in Materials Science at Stanford University and M.S. and B.S. in Metallurgy from UC Berkeley.olysilicon
